Samoan Wellness Initiative (SWI)
The Samoan Wellness Initiative (SWI), established in 2012, is part of the Richmond Area Multi-Services (RAMS) Asian & Pacific Islander Mental Health Collaborative. Bringing together mental health providers, advocates, leaders, and community members, SWI supports the wellness of Samoans and Pacific Islanders in San Francisco. In partnership with the Collaborative, SWI promotes mental health and reduces stigma among Pacific Islanders, Filipinos and Southeast Asians through culturally relevant, community-based activities across all ages.
